Drawn and thought out between August 2023 and September 2024, Bonheur d'exister is a book that oscillates between confessions and intimate reflections. The project, initially conceived as a simple twelve-page booklet, was transformed into a 60-page book following an invitation from Magali Brueder.

‘Bonheur d'exister is a comic book presenting five stories of auto-fiction. In these five stories, which swing between diary writing and literary prose, Sébastien explores issues of contemporary depression, the mixed pressures of social networking, the incoherence of filial love, and more broadly questions surrounding his psychoanalysis.’

The final and preparatory artworks for Bonheur d'exister were exhibited from 22 to 29 November 2024 to launch the book at the Quintal gallery and bookshop, 13 Rue d'Eupatoria, 75020 Paris.
