WAALL #4 - THE WORLD THEY OFFER US

A group show curated by Ardalan Yaghoubi and the creative agency togaether, Waall#4 was an opportunity to re-exhibit my installation "Une Histoire de Vaisselle Brisée" consisting of some thirty drawings displayed on a steel mesh co-produced with the artist Samuel Jacques. The invitation was also an opportunity to begin a series of drawings based on a drawing first conceived for the magazine Bagarre, 'Joy to create'. This led to the series of four coloured pencil drawings entitled "Le Monde qu'il nous offrent" (The World They Offer Us). The exhibition took place from the 14th to the 17th of March 2024 at the Au Roi Galery.



"This new edition of Waall, focusing on contemporary drawing and illustration, puts the spotlight on 9 artists who break down the dividing walls into which the different arts are often categorised.
They are not just painters, illustrators or cartoonists, restricted to a single medium.These authors are constantly pushing the boundaries of experimentation, renewing their practices, their narratives, their tools and their styles: Alex Besikian, Antoine Carbonne, Fabien Corre, André Derainne, Camille Deschiens, Makiko Furuichi, Sébastien Sans-Arcidet, Saehan Parc and Louis Tirouflet.

Since its creation, togaether has been committed to making art accessible by offering spaces for expression open to all. Alongside its agency activity, togaether is keen to give free rein to its artistic vision, embodied by the Waall programme.
Each time it holds an exhibition, Waall presents the art scene through a curation process that celebrates all forms of contemporary art and representation, in collaboration with the Au Roi gallery."
