An afternoon talk I hosted about different ways of conceiving our relationship with books as part of our residency Where Winds Meet. First were invited Guillaume Chauchat and Thomas Simon to talk about the rare Freinet children’s book collection from the 60’s, a series of books written and drawn by children and then printed, sometimes re-drawn by a lithographer printer.
Then Ellie Partouche told us about his position as a publisher/printer/artist and showed us his last collective work, FC Soleil. Then, Victoria Kieffer and her magazine Niglo which she uses as a central point for her to create a new artist’s network, with Sophia as HQ, featuring works from Strasbourg to Istanbul. And last but not least, Anouk Moyaux presented her last book published by Martian’s Parlor whom brought us their point of view as they publish not only books but also CDs, Video games and such.
