ECSTASY: PALOMO SPAIN AW 20/21

Ecstasy is a series of five pencils drawings in collaboration with Spanish designer Palomo Spain. Working on the theme of Ecstasy, first exploring religious ecstasy depicted by The Greco through the brutality of shapes and phenomenal colours, then the one experienced by the luxuriant Andalusian sculptures of the virgin, and also assisted ecstasy.
This couture collection was thought as a event in which you'd come across the great Spanish Easter celebrations mixed with the Ruta del Bakalao, a Way of the Cross that became a meeting point for ravers and hardcore partying in the 90's.

The two principal design, "Ecstasy: View from the Sky" and "Ecstasy: View from the Beer" were conceived for textile print, so it could repeat itself but also with contrasts between the scenery and the patterns, a in balance in which the eye is getting lost in the dark confused by the party lights. The three last designs, "Ecstasy: Sweat under the Light", "Ecstasy: Under the Blue Quilt" and "Ecstasy: Agape" were thought as complementary images..
